Do I have to buy the MAGIC BINGO™

Cards and play the game?
You
must purchase the MAGIC BINGO™ Kit in order to learn
the secret method and presentation for playing MAGIC BINGO™.
Everything you need is complete in the Kit including 100
regular MAGIC BINGO™ cards, the instruction book and
video instruction DVD, the Bingo numbers you select to play
the game, a special bag to hold the Bingo numbers you call,
and tips on presentation. Additional cards can be ordered
inexpensively from Mark Wilson’s Magic International.

How did MAGIC BINGO™ come about?
We
were producing the Frito Lay National Sales Meeting, where
I would be performing many illusions, making Frito executives
magically appear, illustrating sales points, etc.; but we
needed one more powerful segment. That night, I was having
trouble going to sleep, when the idea of MAGIC BINGO™
drifted into my thoughts. The next morning my production
staff worked out the details and MAGIC BINGO™ was
born.
Frankly,
I had no idea how well MAGIC BINGO™ would be received
when it debuted at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. The conventioneers
were told, “We’re going to play a game of bingo.
As you can see, the bingo cards have ‘FRITO’
across the top, not ‘bingo.’ To win, you must
yell ‘FRITO’ instead of ‘bingo.’
In case of a tie, the first person I hear who yells ‘FRITO’
is the winner!”
The
players could see their neighbors’ bingo cards were
different, as they crossed off different numbers. The tension
mounted. Now I would see if my idea worked. When the final
number was called, EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE BANQUET ROOM JUMPED
UP AND YELLED “FRITO!”
The
walls vibrated, chandeliers shook, startled waiters dropped
their trays and alarmed clerks at the front desk sent security
to see what had happened. 500 people yelling “FRITO!”
at the same time was THE LOUDEST SOUND EVER HEARD IN THE
HOTEL. I was flabbergasted. A moment of shocked
silence was followed by laughter and backslapping. The Frito
Lay business meeting was transformed into a dynamic celebration
filled with enthusiastic participants!
Later,
a Frito company executive told me, “The tremendous
reception our president received was worth far more than
Frito-Lay paid you for the entire meeting.” The effect
was so impressive, I copyrighted MAGIC BINGO™ and
kept it exclusive for my clients for over thirty years.

How many players do you need to play MAGIC BINGO™
effectively?
MAGIC
BINGO™ has a dynamite effect on large groups, such
as sales meetings, conventions, church functions, and youth
camps. Then we found it was just as effective for smaller
groups, like birthday parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries,
graduation parties, and so on. It is as amazing for a dozen
people as it is for a thousand participants. Just make sure
you tell the players that they must call out the “winning
words” as loudly as possible “in case of a tie,”
and you’ll be amazed at the results!

What do you mean when you say MAGIC BINGO™ is the
world’s easiest “up-sell”?
When
you book yourself at any event, MAGIC BINGO™ is an
easy “add-on” which costs you very little and
can generate additional income above your usual fee. For
example, you can charge anywhere from an extra $10 for playing
MAGIC BINGO™ at a small birthday party to $1,000 or
more for custom printed bingo cards for a major corporate
meeting. Your clients will love it!

How can I customize MAGIC BINGO™ and SUPER MAGIC BINGO™
CARDS?
The
MAGIC BINGO™ Kit contains a number of sample custom
cards. Also included is a layout on which you can fax or
e-mail your design directly to Mark Wilson’s Magic
International and we will print cards for you. Please check
the MAGIC BINGO™ section of this website for our low
prices.
We have
created and printed customized MAGIC BINGO™ Cards
for hundreds of different events, such as “Merry Christmas
BINGO” or “Happy Birthday BINGO.” Or,
you can replace the word BINGO with any other five-letter
word, such as we did for “FRITO” and “PEPSI.”
Some magicians replace the word “BINGO” with
“MAGIC” to tie in with their appearance with
their name, photo, and contact information on the back.
This is the answer to the world’s most important question,
“Can you remember the name of that clever magician
we saw last week, and how can I get in touch with him?”
New
SUPER MAGIC BINGO™ CARDS are larger, easier to play
and you can personalize them on your computer printer yourself.
“BINGO TOP” cards have a blank area above the
word “BINGO” (or you can order “BLANK
TOP” cards without any text above the game). These
cards are all die-cut with the fold-down corners, two cards
printed side by side on one 8½” x 11”
sheet of card stock. With your computer’s printer,
you can design and print the appropriate personalization
yourself on either the Blank Top or Bingo Top SUPER MAGIC
BINGO™ CARDS. For larger quantities we can print customized
cards for you.

What are the most effective “Winning Words?”
The
“Winning Words” can be whatever you wish. They
will be shouted with enthusiasm at the game’s end,
which gives you an enormous marketing potential. Some examples:
for a commercial client the “Winning Words”
can be their new advertising theme or latest product; for
a charity, this year’s new slogan. At a birthday party,
when everybody shouts “Happy Birthday Mary!”
at the same time, everyone is extremely surprised and delighted,
particularly Mary. Just use your imagination and you’ll
come up with terrific “Winning Words” for each
game you play, which will not only please your client but
will help sell more shows.

Do I need to use the cardboard
Bingo Call Numbers supplied with the MAGIC
BINGO™ Kit for the game to work? Our group has a Bingo
cage for calling
regular Bingo games.
No,
you can use the popular ping-pong ball style of Bingo number
cage or the plastic Bingo numbers that are provided in some
Bingo sets. The important secret that allows everybody to
win at the same time is included in the MAGIC BINGO™
Kit and will work with any method of calling the numbers.

What kind of awards or prizes should
be offered to the winners of a MAGIC BINGO™
game?
The
prize for that first MAGIC BINGO™ game was “You
have all won a fifteen minute coffee break!” During
that break, the main topic of conversation was that everybody
had won. Then the President of Frito-Lay, in his closing
speech, said: “With next year’s dynamic marketing
and advertising campaigns, everyone in the company will
be a winner.” He received a standing ovation. In this
instance, the fact that they were all winners was the prize.
Over
the years I have used everything from sponsor product samples
to “You have all won a delicious dessert,” depending
upon the situation. For instance, the prize can be any upcoming
event. For birthday parties, “Everyone wins a piece
of birthday cake!” is a great new way to introduce
that cake. If you play MAGIC BINGO™ before you perform
your show, the award can be your show. There are many, many
possibilities for awards detailed in the MAGIC BINGO™
Kit. Also included are some sensational ideas used by other
magicians. Used properly, the awards will help you harness
the power of MAGIC BINGO™.
